Al cuore della 808 5 Ultra V2 c'è il midsole drop-in SUPER BOOM, un'innovazione che offre ritorno di energia esplosivo mantenendo il peso al minimo. Questo setup è tutto basato sull'equilibrio — abbastanza morbido per ammortizzare gli atterraggi più duri, ma abbastanza elastico per alimentare ogni stacco. Comprimendo e rilasciando energia con precisione, trasforma ogni passo in una rampa di lancio. Il SUPER BOOM porta la tecnologia BOOM a un livello superiore: il midsole è il 30-50% più leggero, con una densità superiore a 0,07 g/cm³, garantendo un rimbalzo equilibrato tra morbidezza e rigidità per prestazioni ottimali in diversi scenari sportivi.

Il midsole drop-in SUPER BOOM è sostituibile, offrendo più alternative su campi e sport diversi — più supporto, peso più leggero o rimbalzo migliore a seconda delle esigenze. La struttura TPU a tutta lunghezza e la piastra in fibra di carbonio garantiscono una migliore trasmissione della forza e supporto verticale, offrendo al contempo più flessibilità e una sensazione più vicina al suolo. La suola è realizzata in TUFF RB e GCU, trovando un ottimo equilibrio tra durata e resistenza allo scivolamento. Il materiale TUFF RB migliora la resistenza all'usura, mentre il GCU aiuta nelle frenate improvvise e nei cambi di direzione.
